No size given. Looks a great shade of green. Scotland

No, that wouldn't be green. It's the matte black. The Nomad Mk2 only comes in matte black or yellow.

Mmm I really fancy an S&S frame. I haven't got £1,800 to spare though :(
-
I think this is a mk1 frame, as the mk2 has a more sloping top tube. It is the matt green. Nice bike !

-
I thought the Mk1 didn't use the Rohloff. But I could be wrong.

I think the non-Rohloff Nomads weren't any kind of Mk-X.
-
The first ones were Thorn Nomad , which were derailleur, then followed the Raven Nomad mk1 wth rohloff followed by the mk2
I have the same bike, it is matt green and is a mk1
Regards
-
I think that is the Mk I, the Mk II has reinforcement under downtube at the headtube.
I call the derailleur versions Mk zero, but I am aware that is officially incorrect.
-
I've asked the seller for a size. I'll post it here if its forthcoming. I daren't guess! ;)

Boy! I sure do like that matte green, and would have been sorely torn to decide between it and my own matte black for stealth camping.
I hope it will make a return to the Nomad line at some point.
Best,
Dan.

Arrgh. This bike is just up the road from me! Would it be wrong to buy two bikes in as many weeks?

Wrong? No. You can't fight fate, destiny, kismet.
It is just up the road from you for a *reason*. You know this. The sooner you give in, the better. Resistance is futile.
All the best,
Dan. (...playing the role of devil or angel on one shoulder)

Hi all, excuse the lack of Thorn knowledge...the bike is a Nomad S+S 537L size frame. Purchased in I think 2011, and has been waiting patiently for an adventure that has never happened. I've updated the advert. If you have any more questions I'll try my best to answer.
All the best,
Jo

ps : What is the difference between the Nomad Mk1 and Mk2 ? and why Thorn change the frame geometry ?

Hi Julien!
The Internet Archive's sites are offline for scheduled maintenance and upgrades. Currently, the lot is unavailable, though the PDF files were unavailable for much of the last two weeks.
Hopefully, the Internet Wayback Machine's servers will once again be up and working again soon. I have compiled a list of available files here: http://thorncyclesforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=6975.0 The servers go down from time to time. If you have no luck try again later. Sometimes, the low-resolution version will load when the high-resolution version won't.
ps : What is the difference between the Nomad Mk1 and Mk2 ? and why Thorn change the frame geometry ?
As I recall, the change was made to accommodate a swap to suspension forks, if desired. In other words, the frame's geometry became suspension-specific, whether a sus-fork was used or not.
All the best,
Dan.
