I've noticed that the chain on my Raven AT is looking kind of slack.
How do I know what the proper tension should be? And adjust, am I better off removing a link from the chain or adjusting the BB?

See P9 of owners handbook http://www.thorncycles.co.uk/thornpdf/ThornBikeOwnerManual2Web.pdf
PS I've been sufferring from 'chain tension' for the last 3 weeks caused by an irritating tick on the down pedal stroke!

Hi Andrew,
Wow I can't believe you have never needed to adjust the tension!
Definitely best to adjust the BB first. Only remove a link if the BB is in the max position and you still have a loose chain. You probable know this but I say it anyway: It is MUCH better to have a chain that is slightly loose rather than a chain that is too tight.

I know! But I haven't put as many miles on the bike as I would have liked/expected. I suppose that's what happens when you have two babies and move half way round the world!

You might get more miles in if you get your wife to have the babies in future![;)]
(sorry, couln't resist the opportunity!)
