Title: Seat tube angle RST 511s
Post by: phopwood on May 28, 2015, 04:44:34 PM
Hi,

Does anyone know the seat tube angle of an RST 511s.  I can't find the info anywhere and I can't open the brochure in the brochure post.

All the best.

Peter.

Thanks Dan.

Anto I have been considering buying a audax mk3 555 from SJS and was comparing geometry.  They have one pre built for a very reasonable price.  I normally cycle alone but recently I have cycled with a friend and I struggle to keep up with his super bike on my RST. Cycling alone is cheaper.....

Just looking you under stand  ::)

That's the best quote I've heard in a long time.  :)

Peter riding solo is the way to go right enough, i had a guy bending my ear this past year   ::)
i also was on the audax he was on his super handbuilt road bike he was killing me on hills, but when i sold the audax to Neil my buddy lent me his spare road bike ,the difference was  mega  ,no more did my so called friend drop anto on  hills nor flat. ;D ;D
moral of the story  if you want to stay with your friends on rides buy the same bike as he's riding. ;)

im not just a pretty face ya know. ::)

I like your logic Anto.  The main problem with road bikes I have is I am not very tall but my legs are long for my height, so road bikes are not built for someone with my proportions.

I will most likely stick with what I have and strip off some of the weight.

Or ride more! ;) Or ride a heavy bike and fitness will increase!

All the best,

Dan. (...who agrees with Eddy Meckyx: "Ride lots".*)

Yeah Dan is correct (when is he not gonna have to kill him) more miles.
but a change of wheels and tyres will improve your speed no end slick tyres mind.

Unfortunately not, when I am here I do a simple 10 mile route around the streets of Derry on a fold up bike.  Not very exciting but better then nothing.

Anto,

I'm stuck doing this for two more days (pic below) and then I'm free to take a Big Day Ride again. This is why I prefer Nature and the Forest -- it all takes care of itself without human intervention. Home and garden...notsomuch.

All the best,

Dan.

Yeah I'm useless at gardining i have my little yard paved   front is only the size of a postage stamp  so no big gardining jobs for this kid although have to say a nice garden  can be very relaxing.make sure you take photos of your next spin Dan,
now that i got credit for my phone  ::)'ll do the same.anto.
