It's been a quiet day on the forum which made me think where is our Irish friend! Anyone got an update on his bike building adventures?
-
Hi,
Jags is doing just fine, enjoying his new bike with his Irish friends . I know what you mean though it's quiet here now that he is not spouting his Irish charm to us on the forum. Maybe he will come back when he buys another thorn.

I see Anto all the time on Facebook; he makes bicycle posts most days. You can befriend him at https://www.facebook.com/AntoKelly111?fref=ts and get his posts too, if you're on Facebook.

jags brightened the place up for sure, let's hope he comes back sometime and brings more smiles to our faces.

Yep, 'fraid so, geo. There's a binary division in the world, those who use Facebook, and the rest of us :-)

In the process of expediting his signup back onto the Forum now....

All the best,

Cheers Dan,
Well anto's back good to know you lads missed me for my very intellectual posts ,bet yis didn't think i could spell that big word. ;D ;D
well the story is so far im still enjoyed my new bike but have to admit i miss me Thorn bikes .im getting the urge to do a bit of touring this summer maybe finish my disasterious ireland tour.
i sent SJS an email earlier this week on a proper size frame, i was seriously thinking of the club tour none disc with carbon fork,i have bits and pieces i could stick onto it.
but im only window shopping to be honest because my lottery numbers havent come up yet. >:(
the weather here is dire not great for cycling sure hoping for a good summer.
Julian thanks a million for the carbon seatpost your one hell of a decent guy im in your debt thanks my friend . ;)
so has anyone won the lottery bought any new bikes or gear while i was away, don't want to hear any sad stories i could write a feckin book on that.
did i tell yis al about me aching back. ;D ;D
cheers for now
Anto.

Anto,
Welcome back ;D
Never doubted you would be lusting after another Thorn…
I have only bought new tyres recently, Duremes from SJS, I like the ride they give and they cope with the appalling road surfaces round here.
A son has taken the used ones for a commuting bike.
The weather has been wintery for a couple of years now, or so it seems.
Maybe the temperature will rise into double figures in the near future and entice me outside.
I have spent some money on a new AVR processor for watching movies with surround sound and listening to CDs.
It is from Anthem and comes with some amazing software to correct the effects of the room on the sound. Recommended, but only after you win that lottery. ;)
Julian.

Welcome back Jags,
I was surprised when you disappeared, so good to have to you back and welcome back from way down under here in New Zealand.
I've been looking at some of these routes: http://cycleireland.ie/ and wow your country looks stunningly beautiful with amazing narrow windy back lanes
that look very inviting for a cycle down and around.
They say New Zealand has stunning scenery, but judging by this Ireland is up there too.
I'm quite a Google Maps nerd, so have seen parts of Ireland and also view Street View. (Google Maps is probably my favourite web site.)
Best regards
Tony
