Title: Blue Raven Tour for sale

I'm going to clean up my RT (size 580L: bought in 2004) and take some pics to put it on sale.

Probably a daft question, but should I advertise it here first, or is it a reasonable assumption that most on this forum already have a Thorn/Rohloff?

Personally I'd advertise it here first; viewers 'know their onions' and are 'pre-qualified' potential buyers in that sense. Additionally you'd avoid all the nonsense that accompanies the use of a more general online 'forum' known to many.

I'd definitely advertise it here first. A friend of mine is after a Raven, he's 6ft 1". Better to sell it on here as there are no fees to pay.

Hi Joe!

What some people do is offer their bikes here first, then if no interest, pursue a wider audience via eBay.

An alternative is to list the bike on eBay with a link-back to the Forum.

Both have proven to be successful strategies.

Set your starting/reserve price to your acceptable minimum if going the eBay route. A few have started very low and found themselves giving their bike away.  :o

And don't overlook that PM I sent you when you first mentioned selling your Raven. Location always useful to know in case people want to view.  Did I hear you say you were in Northern Britain?
