Title: The ultimate Raven bottle cage?
Post by: Danneaux on December 04, 2014, 02:39:21 PM
Hi All!

Portland Design Works (PDW) is located in Portland, Oregon USA about 116mi/186km up the Willamette Valley from me.

They're expanding their line of products, and I saw one that looks most appropriate for Thorn Ravens, though it is more like a swallow or a swift. Available in silver or black, it might appeal:

I presume one could bend the wings to better retain the bottle on rough roads. Thought it might appeal especially to Matt, who has named his Raven "Old Bird".

I have no interest, financial or otherwise, beyond it catching my eye.

All the best,

Dan. (...who is intrigued to find a bird *as* cage rather than bird *in* cage)

Yes nice, (and supplied via our friends at SJS http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/pdw-the-bird-bottle-cage-prod30656/) I'm still a classic-bottle-cage-kind-of-rider and really like the simplicity of king cages http://www.kingcage.com/

Thanks for the heads up on the ' bird cage', Dan.
I placed an order yesterday with SJS for a replacement mirror and the Klickfix accessory bar.
I'll have to wait a while before placing another order or Mrs. Matt may start to ask awkward questions.

A bonus for Canadians is that it is available from MEC for only $9.75

All very well but British prices, for everything, come with a free pack of lubricant of the heavy duty variety!
