Title: Congratulations and thanks to Il Padrone, newest hero member!
Post by: Danneaux on November 08, 2014, 08:37:23 PM
Hi All!

With real and genuine pleasure I welcome Il Padrone (Pete) to the Hero member status that comes with making 1,000 posts on the Thorn Cycling Forum!

I'm sorry for the belated congratulations; the member count crept up a bit sooner than I'd realized.

Throughout his tenure here, Il Padrone has contributed a useful and helpful perspective and has always been quick to lend a hand to others in need.

Pete, your photos and perspectives from "Down Under" are always thought-provoking and interesting and give us a chance to see another point of view outside the UK, Europe, or the Americas.

Thanks, Pete!

All the best,

Dan.

Well done, Pete!  Love your photos, and now that you're a recognized hero, no-one can give you any stick about your stick.  Look forward to lots more of your posts.

Congratulations!

Someday I'll finally be a regular member  ;D

I don't see Hero Member for me in the next decade or two.

Congratulations, Pete!

Truth be known, il Padrone was one of my inspirations in home-building my Nomad. I followed his progress on another forum a couple of years before attempting my own. (He's also still got me dreaming about an outback expedition, if I can find a willing victim, err... companion!  :D)

Thanks again for the care and detail you put into those, and all of your postings. Perhaps one day our paths will cross - it's a big land, but a small country.  ;)

Congratulations, Il Padrone!

Reaching 1000 posts is quite an achievement. You have been one of my favourite contributors to this forum, because of your knowledge and experience. When I started reading this forum about 2 years ago, I quickly learned that every post by "Il Padrone" was worth reading.  Thank-you for all your contributions!

I'm also looking forward to more photos of your bike (which is the same as mine) and your tours.

- Dave

Yes, the core of knowledgeable members like Il Padrone gives this small forum an edge of many with a much bigger following. Thanks.
