While it makes for terrific watching, there's very good reason to not try such things. Martyn Ashton is now paralyzed form the waist down, thanks to a spinal injury incurred while performing: http://www.bikemag.com/news/news-trials-star-martyn-ashton-suffers-significant-spinal-injury/
