Many thanks for your thoughtful opinions! I'll wait and see if a few more responses trickle in both here and on my Facebook page.

So far, "red" seems to be leading the race, but I do love the black also. I would love to get both, but for now it will have to be one or the other. With "multiple" bicycles competing for the spoils, I have a "bicycle budget" and Choices must be made. For example, lighting.

With the higher valuation of the USD$ against the €, I see the B&M IQ Cyo Premium is now less expensive for me. I could move the old IQ Cyo R to my most-used rando bike, so a new light for the Nomad means better lighting for two bikes in my stable.

Ah, choices! A 2nd Winter jersey with the season waning or decent lighting for two bikes with Spring just 'round the corner?

Now...red or black?

All the best,

Dan. (...whose underwear color is sorted  ;D )

Black is the new red or is that red is the new black -who needs a go faster colour anyway.

I have to admit, David's comment about the red one making me look "more muscular" tipped the scales heavily in favor of red...until I read Sammy's Rhett Butler comment favoring the black.

Man! This is a *tough* decision!

I might delay on the light to get both red and black jerseys.  Hmm...pondering....  :-\

Though the light is available in black or silver, that one's easy: Black for the all-black Nomad.

All the best,

Dan. (...who would of course prefer the best of both worlds)

To be sure!

I've got that end of things addressed, Andy...

High-viz neon yellow for wind jacket, rain jacket, helmet cover, reflective leg bands, gloves, buff, and reflective safety triangle.

... so there is a good possibility either the red or black jerseys will be covered anyway!  ;D

Ah, me.  :D

All the best,

Dan.

You could use the red one (with a cape, of course) for your promotional photos, and keep the black one for riding.

Seriously though, they both look great, Dan. You can't go wrong with either choice.

Now you've done it, David, with mention of the cape. Ooh! :) I was mightily tempted by these...

...but settled down to the black or red one until this little nudge from you...   ;D

All the best,

Dan. (...who frightens the neighbors enough already)

Cool, looks like that light will have to wait.   :)
Which "Super Hero" are you going for?  ;)

Hi All!

Suspense removed -- I'm keeping both, as some of you have suggested.

I sold some thing to offset the cost, and have found that layering the two works well for use in sub-freezing temps (at least down to 28F/-2C). I think I can extend below that by adding a wind jacket -- while warm from riding. Not sure how effective it/they will be when stopped and chilling-down.

A few cold nights are ahead in the next week, so we'll see. If layering these two works, it will mean a reduction in my packed clothing, replacing a medium-weight (fairly light but bulky) fleece and my Italian wool wind-faced longsleeve jersey.

I have found the jersey with the black body does absorb more heat from the sun than the red one, so now I can choose which I'd like to wear on top in really cold weather, and can swap between them when just one is enough.

Tests continue!

Many thanks to all for your kind thoughts and opinions; greatly appreciated!

All the best,

Dan.
