South East Asia
« on: July 12, 2023, 10:07:30 am »
I am looking at a long tour in SEA.  Basically Bangkok - Hanoi via Phnom Penh.

Starter plan:  https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1cNx-6mdJLd3J4gzQLcHty91Mf9uPBZ4&usp=sharing

I have lived and worked in Vietnam for a year but during the peak of Covid in the west so whilst I could travel I was limited to weekends and holidays.

I haven't been to Thailand or Cambodia.

I expect to stay in local hotels and Homestays.

Anyone on here with experience they can share?

I'm just back from 50+ days in Thailand.
From Bangkok I cycled South as far as Krabi.
Taking in a few islands.

Lovely food and people.
Plenty of interesting back roads as well as main roads with cycle lanes.

Best

Never drink and drive. You may hit a bump  and spill your drink
