Another lovely red Audax.  Thanks.
Back from our wee trip now.  Oban, Arran, Islay, Colonsay, with a bit of Kintyre and several ferries making a circuit.
Bike very comfortable, well behaved…and photogenic.

Nice area for a tour. I have done those islands one my Raven, but not Colonsay.
May I ask for more details of your route?
Matt

Just a quick reply as my elder daughter gets married in a few hours time!  Car parked in Oban Friday (Youth Hostel).  Saturday: Cycle to Claonaig for ferry crossing to Lochranza (Youth Hostel).  Two more nights on Arran.  Tuesday:  first ferry crossing to Claonaig, cycled to Kennacraig and boarded 9.45 ferry to Port Ellen.  Distillery diversions, then cycled to B&B at Ballygrant.  Wednesday ferry from Port Askaig to Scalasaig on Colonsay.  Night at estate's "backpackers' hostel".  Thursday ferry to Oban.  This, I think, was the "summer" timetable and only possible with careful planning (done by Mrs Fram).  Quite fresh easterlies the last couple of days so Cal Mac were on "amber" for the east facing Scalasaig, but in the end it was fine.  Weather's gone down the tubes good'n'proper since.   We were lucky because it was beautiful while we were away.  Umbrellas tomorrow I think.
