Having just returned from my 6000 mile Trans America cycle ride I am reluctantly selling my Thorn Nomad MK2. It was bought in February 2010 for around £2370 and has been a 100% reliable bike.
It has just had a full service and the Rohloff has had it's third oil change, the guys in the bike shop where amazed at the excellent condition it's in considering the distance I had travelled on it. There are a few small scratches on the frame, but being matt black they should touch up OK and I have a small tube of Thorn touch up paint to do this.
If you are planning a long distance tour, or just want a tough work horse of a bike you will not be disappointed, it's in great condition and rides beautifully. The Rohloff hub has worked flawlessly and changes quietly and smoothly, it is the disc brake compatible version and also has the adaptor plates to take it up to 48 spokes, the wheel is indestructible!
