Title: XT rear shifter
Post by: strictnaturist on January 12, 2010, 04:15:29 pm
Hi Everyone
Sherpa going in for the first service. grease, cables, chain, rear block etc...
I was thinking of "upgrading" my rear shifter from the current LX to an XT...
Would this give me , better service? better shifting? longer life? etc
Or, will i notice any difference at all?
thanks, in advance, for you're help

There's not much difference it more to do with the cables and how you set it up , wait until the LX is done then replace it.

yes agree with bob i have the xt m770 on mine i had problems with the pannier touching the outer cable causing it to jump gear.but i sorted it out.one thing i don't like with the new xt gear there's no barrell adjuster on the mech like the lx.other than that you cant go wrong with either mech's .
