In one word-NO! Its Ok for very lightweigh touring but not for say a Camping load-that is what the sherpa is for after all. The Audax 853 has stopped being built which for you I suspect is good as the frame alone was in the region of £1100:00
All the best,
John.

The audax mk3 brochure mentions, tantalisingly, that the audax 853 'could theoretically still be built' as a custom frame, and it mentions the need for deep pockets - but I assume with Kevin Sayles' departure this is no longer the case?  Anyway, it's a truly lovely looking machine!
