Hi, everybody! I'm new here. I just want/need some pants for riding my bike to work. It is a 5 mile commute and I want something that is not padded and not baggy. What other things should I look for and what type of pants should I get?

Welocme to the forum.

I use Karrimor Running trousers (about 10 pounds) either on their own or over Crivit thermal base layer (they do ones for various sports although i find all of them to be good for riding - you sometimes get them from Lidl at around 10 pounds) depending on how cold it is. I find the karrimor cycling trousers/shorts far too padded to be comfortable.

They are cheap and durable. I also rate their line in running hats and gloves.

They are all availabe from Sports Direct either online or in their stores.

Cheers

I can recommend the Endura Hummvee pants (about £45). Non-padded, not baggy, velcro ankle straps when cycling. I know some people who wear them
as casual trousers as they don't look too cycle specific. I have found them rugged and well made.
