For any future readers, this was a very smooth transaction with Stephen being happy to meet up half way and providing lots of documentation etc. Initial impressions of the RST are very positive. It has a relatively lightweight build and compared to my Sherpa (expedition spec) seems very responsive. It maintains the ability to happily bomb along tow paths whilst feeling faster and less frustrating on the road.

Once the dent in the bank balance is filled in I intend to spruce it up a bit. Span nidd titanium saddle, tubus airy titanium rear rack, fresh set of mudguards and possibly a set of those fancy 853 forks thorn are selling. I'll keep you guys updated as the project progresses. In the meantime it's a great commuting machine

I thought that looked a great bike in the original photo. It sounds like you've made a great purchase and I'm sure it will feel that bit lighter steaming up the hills this summer.
There was another RST on the board recently but I don't know what happened to that one; think it was for sale in Yorkshire. That was a red 'go faster' colour but your stealthy grey/black version tops that I reckon.

Well done to seller and buyer. An RST and a Sherpa, two great bikes.

Best wishes.

I'm sure you'll love your new RST. Mine is a very similar build to yours except mine has flat bars. I use mine for commuting 18.5 miles daily and can't think of a better bike for the purpose.

Enjoy,
Neil
