Mudguard fittings on my Catalyst
« on: December 10, 2013, 02:30:36 pm »
Hello all,

I'm a newcomer here, having just got my hands on a very nice Raven Catalyst from Thorn. I've made a few changes to it, one of which is to fit narrower tyres with a lower profile. But this leaves an awfully big gap between the tyre and the mudguards, which I would like to reduce if possible. The mudguards are fitted directly to the bottom of the (Pace Carbon) forks by means of a piece of narrow tubing acting as a spacer; a similar arrangement holds the rear guard in place, connecting to the seatstay bridge and the back of the seat tube. I will have to use longer spacers than those currently fitted to move the guards closer to the tyres. My question is: does anyone know where I can get some of this narrow tubing? I think it's anodised aluminium, and it's about the diameter of a biro pen. I'm pretty certain it must have originally been fitted by Thorn, but I can't be sure. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance for inoput/advice  :)

Its stainless tubing cut to length, call Josh 01278 441500 and he will sell you some for a few quid.
