Fitting advice nomad mk1
« on: January 19, 2013, 10:19:11 pm »
I think I have a 485l, however I am 5 11 with a pbh of 90 cm.

I can get the seat height and I think the bar height, although I need to find some spacers.

What I am struggling with is the reach.  The bars, mondolo q have a long reach and the current stem is a high raise 60mm, I think.

Riding the bike the hub is a good inch or more in front of the bars.  However the bike does not feel that bad on the drops.  What stem should I aim for and would it be for 25.6 bars?

Thanks

Oh that is going to be a bit of a challenge! But maybe you can make it work.

Another game you might want to try is to get a long layback seatpost. It might not get you positioned exactly right relative to the pedals, but then you don't want to push yourself too far over the front wheel either! But yeah you could definitely try a longer stem. Somewhere in the 90 mm zone might be good to try. Would be nice to borrow some super-adjustable stem so you don't have to spend a fortune figuring out what works!
