I bought mine about three years ago. Solid bike. Will probably last me for years. I'm guessing that Thorn didn't sell enough of them OR the rationale is that new buyers will buy a Nomad with a sus. fork ( but not in Tonka yellow thanks! ) I'm completely happy with my bike except perhaps the name. Enduro and Catalyst were more exciting names! Got mine in the green color with XTR V brakes. Works great on trails and cruises nicely on roads.
Not sure where Thorn are going from here judging by the look of the new Mercury but I hope they keep their focus on well built touring bikes.I bet they could design a fantastic cargo bike though if they put their minds to it.
