6th issue of _Bicycle Traveler Magazine_ available
« on: December 23, 2013, 06:38:39 AM »
Hi All,

Grace Johnson has just released the *sixth* issue of Bicycle Traveler Magazine. She and her photographer husband/touring partner, Paul Jeurissen, have been traveling the globe for some time now, and are well known in The Netherlands for their photo-essays: Grace is now often recognized as "The Woman in Red" for her distinctive red jersey, often appearing in Paul's distance shots:

This sixth issue of her magazine is available here in PDF form:

Subscriptions are free for registering, and it is scheduled for thrice-yearly publication/download.  I think she's done a fantastic job, and I am inspired by her efforts to solicit articles and coordinate and publish while on the road herself. I have posted about this in the past and thought members might find this newest issue equally enjoyable.

For those interested in a bit of background on Grace and Paul, here is their blog:
Facebook site:

Another wonderful effort, as always. This issue includes...

Dealing with baboons on tour
Tandem adventures in Chengdu China
First night in the wilds (of a small English village)
Touring the Alps
Cutting the red tape surrounding visas
Equipment reviews
Inspirational quotes
My favorite..."images from the road". Bicycle Traveller Magazine is most useful as inspiration for tours through photographs of "dream" locations.

For those who have not yet toured and would like to consider touring, Grace and Paul have also made available Bicycle Touring Basics, cross-linked from and free for signing up for the newsletter. Download link here:
