(Bristol, UK) New Community Bike Cafe seeks crowdfunding!
« on: September 14, 2012, 09:39:29 AM »
Morning Thorn Folks :-)

Fresh from finally selling my Thorn Carbon Fork (it only went for £50!), and replacing it with a lovely steel one this morning I'd like to share a bit of news about a project that myself (Ryan) and some friends (Rob being the mastermind behind it) are pushing for in Bristol.

In short it's a community bike cafe with workshop run as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company the aims of which are:

-To provide a focal point for Bristolís cycling community.
-To enable Bristolís cycling community to be more effective through better advocacy and communication
-To engage new audiences in cycling by showcasing it as fun, affordable, healthy and sustainable.
-To financially support other Bristol cycling social enterprises with surplus revenue,
-To create employment opportunities for those most in need of help to achieve social and financial inclusion,

If anyone is interested in finding out more then feel free to ask here or visit our Crowdfunding page for the lowdown:

I'll get the camera out and post something Thorn related later on!
Peace and Grease,
Ryan
