This came on my Raven Tour which I purchased from ebay last year.
The story behind my bike is this:
The gentleman that bought it from SJS was 76 at the time of purchase. Unfortunately he decided he could no longer do the big hills and two years later decided to sell his bike. I have the original invoice and a chat with SJS seemed to verify this was the case.
The bike had supposedly done less than 200 miles when I bought it. Judging by the condition of everything on it, I have no reason at all to doubt it.
I immediately swapped it for a wheel with a hub dynamo. So in theory this wheel is less than 200 miles old.
Seems to run true.
Surplus to requirements now.
It's a 26" Wheel. 32 hole.
If you are interested make me an offer.
I am also selling the dynamo hub wheel that I replaced it with.
It's a Rigida Grizzly CSS Rim on a Shimano DN3580 dynamo hub.
See why I'm selling it on this thread: http://www.thorncycles.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=4137.0

Ah price, I have no idea what this would cost new so don't know where to start.
I'll have a look at the prices on SJS and get back to you.
I wasn't expecting a reply so fast :)

OK. I've had a quick look at prices and I'm guessing to get this wheel new would cost somewhere between £70 and £100.
So £50 I'm thinking?
In an ideal world I would keep it as a spare, but if I need a new wheel in India, the cost to ship it will be silly, so no point keeping it in the garage.

I've just checked. It's a 32 hole I'm afraid.

Hi I'm possibly interested in the rim with the shimano dynamo, but can't find any info on a dn3580. You don't mean the dh 3n80 do you? Shimano seem to make lots of different ones and I want to find one of the better quality. Thanks Steve

Hi Steve, I' written it down wrong ages ago and copied that info.
Its actually A Shimano DH-3N80.

I believe it was the top of the range one.

Thanks. I think it's a good dynamo. I already have one of these built onto a 700c Mavic 719, which I have just bought from Rose Versand in Germany for £107. I was thinking of ordering something similar from them in a 26" wheel.. I would only wish to buy it if the wheel is true (you say you would prefer the buyer to check, but that isn't really feasible for me). Bearing in mind the 4-5000 miles I think I would only want to offer half of what I could get one new for, say £50. If this is of any interest please let me know the price inc postage. I realise if you bought your wheel in the UK it will probably have been more and you may want a price to reflect that.
Kind regards Steve

Sorry, £50 is way to low. Put a one in front and it's a good place to start;)
