An interesting cycling film is making its way across America at the moment, booked into select theaters only with on-demand screenings. This same model will have it showing also in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Germany and Canada. It is expected to be available on DVD soonish.

Titled _Le Ride_, it chronicles a modern attempt to recreate the route (same roads and schedule but with air transport between legs) of the 1928 Tour de France using period bikes/recreations. Only 41 of 164 riders even finished that year due to the incredibly tough route.

While it is scheduled to show in my local theater, it appears to already be sold-out completely. Looking forward to either a streaming version, video-on-demand, or DVD release.

Best,

Dan.

Delighted to hear that, Rual!

If you see it, would you mind sharing your general impressions afterwards? It looks like I may have to wait for the DVD release.

All the best,

Dan.

[Moved here at Anto's request. -- Dan.]

this guy touring across the States
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_djL9-nf8z8.
my point being you don't need a tank to tour but the club tour will do toures like that no problem fully loaded or bikepacking gear.

Dan u could move this to best film thread  worth a watch.

Thanks for this, Anto. Sweaty bizness! Dodgy stuff sometimes, eh, between the autoroutes and the roundabouts? Sometimes 4-lane highways are the only ones available; still, I've never felt comfortable on on them on a bike, even on the wide shoulders. Too much aimless driving, along with a lot of trash on the shoulders.

No bother John .i'm thinking he could have taking better  quieter roads way to much traffic for my liking.i know Dan would rather hit the back roads and cross some desert but then again he has indian blood in him no problem sleeping with the wild life  ;D ;D.

still it's great to see how other guys travel by bicycle fair play to him epic tour.
