Anyone know where I can see/test a selection of recumbent trikes in UK or Europe? Or have there been any tests in the cycling literature?

Velovision magazine is probably a good place to start looking.
Only other way is to ring individual dealers and ask what they have in stock.

The new (Oct-Nov 05) issue of CTC magazine has a pretty good survey of recumbents by guru Mike Burrows, including discussion of several three-wheelers.

One went on e bay a couple of days ago for £700.
IT HAD A ROLHOFF HUB FITTED TO IT!!!!!
It was a Newton with two front wheels.
