preventing frame corrosion

I've treated the inside of my Club Tour's seat, top and down tubes with  it and it's very easy to apply. Just spray and turn the frame round and round for a while so it gets distributed evenly inside the tube.

I wouldn't want to put off anyone wanting to protect their frame from rust, but I do wonder if it is a very significant problem.

On stripping down my 18 year old tourer (531 steel) I was pleased to find that the visible parts were practically in mint condition despite the bike having been used in all weathers and frequently kept out-doors.  

Nevertheless, I did smear a bit of waxoyl around inside when I put it all back together.
