Rival to Rohloff?

Early days and not a great deal of info but this looks quite an intresting product. It appears to aimed towards the city bike market and I'm not sure you can buy one yet though Elsworth seem to be taking orders. Looking at their website it doesn't appear that they have a production model yet.I look forward to seeing the first reviews if it ever takes off.

It has a range of 'only' 350%, rival for the shimano and SRAM gears...
For me, changing gears on a Rohloff only was a problem on a Hase Pino tandem , on my single bike there is no problem.

It's a heavy beast, 4.2kg compared to the Rohloffs 1.8kg.  I don't think it's being marketed as a rival, the publicity says it's suitable for cruisers and commuters. If it's cheap enough and proves to be reliable it could be just what a lot of people are looking for. I doubt it would be as efficient as planetary or derailleur gears, I'd be interested to know.
