New Cables- Should I just do it?
« on: March 24, 2019, 12:11:49 pm »
I may, but have forgotten, asked something along this line before.
My w has a Rohloff and the mileage is, across Canada and last year 3600k in Europe. We are going back to Europe for 3 months this year.
So wondering if I s just do a replacement??
Thoughts and advice would be great!
Thanks!!

yes.  Probably don't need to, but it's a simple inexpensive job that'll give you peace of mind.

I have a Nomad, I carry a spare cable and the tools to cut and install it, I will wait for it to go.

But it is my understanding that the internal cable on the Rohloff for the Raven is a different sort of thing to fix.  If that is true, that sounds like the sort of thing you do not want to do on a trip.  And if the old one was good, then the old one becomes a new spare.
