Dying of curiosity here and hoping you can assuage it:

Is that wine cork dangling from the saddle rails? If not...what is it?  ???

Inquiring minds want to know!   ;D

Lovely bike!

All the best,

Dan.

Itīs a prosecco/champagne cork.  8)

Iīm originally from Portugal and my "cycling club" is called "Rolhas (corks) Cycling Club" and this is our symbol.

Rumor has it that in the old times in France there were some endurance races in velodromes where the Rich people stayed in the center of the velodrome drinking champagne and throwing the corks to the cyclists... having a a large number of corks meant that you were a good cyclist.  :) If itīs true or not i have no idea... we just have the tradition of take a bottle of prosecco everytime we cycle.

What a cool story and history, Biz'! -- I never would have guessed, but will now add this to my collection of cycling lore.

Many thanks; makes the bike that much more special.  :)

All the best,

Dan.
