The bike was fantastic  can't say the same for he pilot, :'(
4 days into the tour my back caved in just could not go any further.
i was fine on the flat but as soon as the road went up i died a death .
.
my back is in a bad way now so not to much cycling
such as life i suppose getting old  ::)

we had a good time bikepacker and meself  had some good laughs ,weather was fantastic  roads were great .
all the gear worked great except for the bloody noisy exped synmatt lucky i wasn't fired of the campsite it creaked like crazy every time  i moved .

anyway i wont be doing anymore cycle touring overnighters maybe but certainly not multyday tours.

cheers all
anto.

I don't visit this forum very often so have only just picked up on this thread. I would like to say that jags is understating the pain he was in from his back. Anyone who saw him at the time would know how much he was suffering. It was not only the cycling but also getting up and down into the low tent that made it much worse.

Jags hope you do get your back all sorted and hope to do another tour (not camping) with you at sometime.
If you want to be happy learn to be alone without being lonely.
If you want to enjoy the world see it from the saddle of a bike.
If you want to experience beauty camp alone in a spectacular place.
If you want release your anxieties cease excuses and take actions.

Glad that you're finally getting some good weather, Anto. And if there is a strong wind, at least it is good to have it on your back for the ride home, rather than the other way around.

Avoided the IV antibiotics so far, but it will be close. Arm's swolled like a balloon red as a tomato. Typing makes it worse.
