Anto/Dan,
It is great to see these ride photos.

I also seem to have turned into a fair weather cyclist over winter, roll on spring and some decent weather.

I have kept my hand (legs?) in by shopping by bike as often as possible - it also keeps me used to some luggage weight on the bike.

Julian i don't want to use the panniers just yet more into getting miles in the legs ,once i up the miles i will probably use one pannier  for the brew up in some  lonely graveyard out in the sticks.i must be a bit of a weirdo but there nice peacefull places to stop for half an hour cup tea sambo  relax then head off leaving nothing behind only good thoughts,

That describes me today. We got hit with more snow/sleet that froze on contact this morning. I took the bike out into the drive and ended up using it as a cane when my house-warmed shoe soles began impersonating ice skates. "We" (we both royal and collective) managed to get back into the garage, where it seemed a Good Idea to call it a day till the "regular" rain hits this afternoon and melts the slick stuff.

Wishing for sunshine and 23°C temps...  ???

All the best,

Dan.

Been like summer here in west central Scotland today and yesterday, nice warm (ish) sunshine and light winds.

Strangely enough for me (a normal person :)) I too use graveyards for tea breaks if I have been on a nice ride. So Anto is doing nothing untoward.

Yep, always good places to get a bit of shelter from the wind, this was our lunch stop on Mull a couple of years ago,

Bus shelters and telephone boxes are also on the list of impromptu lunch spots in bad weather.
