Crank-Shifter-Brake Set Ups
« on: January 18, 2007, 01:57:22 am »
Does anyone have experience with Shimano's new XTR STI combined shift/brake levers or the XTR mountain triple crank?  I am wrestling with different ideas as I search for a great crank to install on my Nomad when it arrives.  I was not sure if all these mountain components are suitable for the Nomad if it sees road use primarily.[:D]

problem is XTR isn't very robust, XT is actualy harder wearing and seeing as your getting a heavy duty frame probably be waisting your money with XTR, its what its says on the tin XTR (XT Race)

Thanks!  I guess I sort of knew that but I wanted to keep the group together with XTR SHifters. Besides SHimano, do you know of anything else that should be sturdy enough.   If I could find one, what about TA zephyr cranks?
