Title: Fixed wheel conversion?
Post by: n/a on May 07, 2004, 11:04:23 am
Hi

I have a Thorn Brevet (Reynolds 525 frame) and I was wondering how easy or hard it would be to convert the conventional Ritchey drop outs to a track end one so I can run a fixed wheel. I live in Dublin, Ireland, where I have yet to come across a frame builder who can fix or modify steel frames. If I want to do this badly enough, I may send it to SJS, if this is possible.

cheers

John

why not part ex the frame for one of our fixed wheel frames, not as light but it's bound to cost less.
To fit track ends might need new seatstays.
lowest price (from us) that it might be would be £225.00 inc respray, but i'm sure you could find a framebuilder somewhere in the UK that would charge less. You'd also have to think about what hub your going to use FIRST as the bike is currently 135mm OLN
