Title: Have a "padded cell" forum?
Post by: neil_p on October 15, 2008, 12:14:36 pm
It would be a great to have a forum where anything and everything can be discussed.  For example... books on cycling, photographing cycling events, or even things that are non cycling related (politics, cooking...)

I reckon it would increase forum traffic levels, and keep people online longer, thus also increasing the volume of standard bike-related posts.

You're describing YACF (http://yacf.co.uk/forum/) and it requires a lot of admin to run such a forum.  I'd be amazed if SJSC wanted to risk associating themselves with such a non-bike-specific forum.

PS.  I like the Rohloff content of this website but, for quick cycling answers and general discussions, YACF is hard to beat.

Also you can get a YACF jersey if you hurry up

This feature has now been added to the Muppet's threads category, as a request by me, but as yet out of a possible 2124 members only 1 has shown any interest!
