Title: Stanfords
Post by: trailplanner on October 29, 2020, 07:54:23 am
This really is a no brainer for anyone who uses this iconic map and travel book shop in London.  This has been the seed for so many adventures and the survival of this iconic store is so important.

(Apologies for posting here, but I feel so passionately that this store must survive - I hope you agree)

A business which cannot survive should not look for donations! A business should survive by being viable.
Obviously this particular business is not.
Nice try.

I see your point about donating and a ( successful/ unsuccessful ) business.
However it brought back memories of my visit there 40+ years ago to purchase maps for my planned hitchhiking trip across Spain and into Morocco.

Sad to see it go but we live in strange times.

I've just donated.

Lots of very viable businesses have suffered during these past few month.

I have used Stanford's on many an occasion and feel very happy to support them.
