Title: Surly 8-pack and 24-pack front rack safety recall
Post by: Danneaux on October 22, 2019, 08:03:05 am
https://bikerumor.com/2019/10/21/surly-safety-notice-remove-8-pack-and-24-pack-racks-immediately/

As I recall, a few of our Forum members use the 8-pack version of this rack. It seems these racks can become loose and cause a problem when they do, so this recall notice may prove helpful.

Best,

Dan.

look to be the same fittings used on the surly nice rear rack, although the fittings/mounting bars are straight rather than bent
has there ever been any reported trouble with the nice rack? mines been good as gold since i fitted it

It certainly would be a tragedy to see ANY beer perish via a hardware failure, as opposed to the usual way.
