unfortunately, the time has come for me to move on. 2015 thorn nomad. 565L size. Maybe 1,000 miles on it. Two tours over 200 miles. 1 small crash. Everything works great. This was the bike to cross Asia, but obviously that hasn't happened. This bike deserves to be used more. Super comfy and friendly, even when loaded. A few small frame scuffs from a low-speed tip-over.
I'll pay G%S and shipping. Will get it packaged professionally, if you want. Would prefer drop off in the intermountain west (I travel a lot), but can ship US, CAN and EU.
Here's the master list:
Groupset:
-Rohloff 500% Speed Hub (oil changed every year, and just changed again).
-19t rear sprocket and 42t 104mm BCD chainring
-spd pedals (kind of worn)
-170mm crankset
-eccentric BB (in great shape. Have rotated it twice and cleaned. plenty of space left to take up chain).
-Deore XT v-brakes (pads had much life left in them).
Wheelset: (both wheels are very true and could probably survive the nuclear apocalypse.
- Rear Rohloff hub and Rigida Andra 30 26" rim. Schwalbe marathon plus tour 2" tire. Lots of life. 32h
-front: SON 28 dynamo hub and Rigida Andra 30 26" rim 32 hole. Schwalbe marathon Dureme tire (1 small tread damage, see photos). Has Schmidt Edelux II High Power LED Headlight wired up. Works really well.
Cockpit:
-Brooks b17 (broken in, but no cracking. stored indoors).
-Fred Bar ('accessory bar', Ortlieb handlebar bag mounted. the plastic mount bit is slightly deformed, but doesn't compromise integrity)
-580mm Thorn Flattrack bar
-Bell.
-120mm (?), 10 deg stem
- stock seatpost
Other stuff:
-two profile designs bottle cages (actually super nice)
-expedition rear rack (2 small paint abrasion spots from panniers, but very surface level)
-low rider front racks (similar wear)
-2 brooks Lands End rear panniers (1 ortlieb attachment, 1 not. One has been on a weeklong tour and both are in great shape).
-Ortlieb Ultimate 6 Handlebar bag (got squished a bit in storage but really nice. Comes with keys).
-extra 26x2 tube
