Hi,

I'm planning to change my stem by a smaller.

Currently i've a UNO 1/1/8th  stem 25.4mm clamp +17deg/110mm, but i reversed it so my angle is negative -17 deg ..

If i feel confortable on my Ergon handles, i feel to far on my Ergon grips Gp5

I've a doubt about how many mm reduce my stem.. 20, 30, 40 mm ??  and if i choose a stem with a angle or without ?

I like the Thomson Elite stem, what do you think .. ?

Probably stating the obvious Julio but have you tried flipping the stem? Doing so worked well for me as I fine-tuned my cockpit/riding position.

Looks like a Thomson Elite 25.4 90mm long with 15 degree angle would fit well there. I fitted one on my Raven Tour 512L with Thorn comfort bars and Ergon GP1 Biokork grips - works very well on my set up but it would depend on your bike size and preferred riding position.

Julio,
There are no stems shorter than 110mm on the page you have linked.
in4 is right, first thing you should try is flipping your existing stem.
Is there a local bike shop near who would help you try various size stems to find the right one for you?
Best to go for comfort over aesthetics.

Yes i've seen but i can find it in others website

Try different stems will be the best solution for sûre

But in my last question, i would like to know if there is a big difference between two lenght (20mm gap), about driving comfort..

Julio,

Just from a personal standpoint I think that you would definitely notice a 20mm difference in stem lengths. Once I am dialled into a position I can feel quite small differences in stem length, saddle height and for and aft position. Cycling is a repetitive motion so you want it to feel as natural and comfortable as possible to prevent any aches and strains.

As well, do you know the head tube angle on the Nomad Mk2 frame ? I didn't found this information and seems difficult to know  :)

I choose 90mm -6° from BBB company and i think for a long ride the position will be more relaxed   ;)
