Post by: londoncyclegirl on February 16, 2018, 08:21:29 pm
Hi,
I'm on the lookout for a Thorn Club MK4 500s  (think that's the best size, I measured up according to the brochure I'm 5ft 2).

Any help appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to the forum! I'm not familiar with the Club Tour sizing, but it is well worth doing the frame sizing form in the mega brochure, perhaps elsewhere on the website, all the detailed measurements. Indicate also the sort of use bike will be put to. In my experience, Thorns calculations and predictions from the data is spot on.

Good luck!

Thanks, I went through the sizing and uses on the Mega Brochure - so much information and I think I'm making the right choice. Not sure.  Happy to receive any input and advice!

I'm planning to cycle the C2C from Whitehaven to Tynemouth over a few days.  I don't want a mountain bike, I want a tourer that will see me good for other similar rides or holidays.
My bike foot stand height came out at 650mm.

Me again . . . . Sorry, I should have made clearer, send the info off to Thorn and see what their advice re sizing is.  They've always been right with my bikes,a Sherpa almost 3 years ago and an Audax in December '17

Club Tour would be ideal for the sort of ride you are proposing, whether camping or B and B-ing.
