Title: I need a therapist!
Post by: Swislon on September 10, 2017, 05:29:07 pm: My wife, Neeta and I visited Thorn in Bridgwater this week.
As we waited for the magician that is Dave to replace her RST sprocket to the new splined one we naturally borrowed some bikes and went for a ride.
Neeta rode a Raven and I rode a flat barred Mercury with tubeless tyres (30mm Schwalbe S One).
We went up into the nearby Quantocks for a 17 mile jaunt which included a 1 in 5 (20%) hillock.

Wow did I like the Mercury and the tyres were a revelation.
I had fallen out of love with the Rohloff (RST sold a few years ago) but here I am again pondering another!
What is wrong with me?

what you are suffering from is called retail therapy.
A good spend can relieve your suffering.
Why not a new Thorn?

I'm also expecting to have a Mercury on the road by the end of the month, it'll be the third frame for the same Rohloff, though even the hub is a bit triggers broom with only the internals original.
