Title: Thorn Nomad tour - Indiana to Washington DC mostly on trails
Post by: onmybike on December 14, 2016, 07:04:40 am
Hello Thornistas. A journal on my October tour to the USA is up now at crazyguy: http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/sydsride2016 (http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/sydsride2016).

The tour was undertaken to complete a cross USA ride started by a friend before she was struck and killed by a drunk driver in Indiana a couple of years ago. Of the 1570km about 80% of the ride was on rail trails and canal paths. The cycling infrastructure in that part of the states was a very pleasant surprise. The GAP and C&O trails between Pittsburg and DC I already new about but there's a surprising network of off road cycleways all across Indiana and Ohio as well.

Good reading and a nice trip.  Thanks. one part caught my attention ... "Anyway half way through eating a clearly stoned woman" before I added the punctuation ... and said "oh".  :D
